Job summary

Jobot, a leading construction firm in Madison, WI, seeks a Project Accountant to manage financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with contracts. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to keep billing and financial data precise.

The role requires 3–5 years of project accounting experience in construction, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and proficiency with Sage 300 or Viewpoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of project accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency with Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and processing monthly invoices for multiple projects.
• Managing sub-contractor payment requests and accounts payable.
• Entering contracts and adjustments into the accounting system.
• Preparing and executing change orders and waivers of liens.
• Conducting collection calls on past-due invoices.
• Generating financial reports and maintaining project records.
• Collaborating with project teams to set up projects per owner and company requirements.
• Participating in project kickoff meetings and understanding contracts and billing terms.
