Job summary

Nabholz Corporation is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers and Project Engineers on commercial construction projects in Arkansas. You will engage in buyout, project documentation, and look-ahead scheduling with a focus on safety and quality compliance.

The role requires a 4-year construction degree and at least 3 years of project engineering experience, plus strong communication and office software skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Must be willing to speak before groups in project interviews and meetings.
• OSHA 10-hour training.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (accounting).
• Scheduling software.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Understand building codes and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in evaluation of bid packages, analysis of vendor bids, and creation of commitments to Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Assist Project Manager with accurate cost projections.
• Solicit and evaluate change order requests and pricing from vendors.
• Administer document control for all project documentation including submittals, logs, changes, correspondence, drawings, and As-Builts.
• Document project meetings and distribute meeting minutes to Project Team.
• Monitor and update project timeline and develop look-ahead schedule updates under the direction of Project Manager.
• Promote jobsite safety and participate in safety meetings, job walks, and quality management.
• Coordinate permitting through Certificate of Occupancy and manage Punch Lists until completion.
