Job summary

SES Technologies LLC (STL) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers in coordinating a construction project’s cost, schedule, document control, and quality standards from our Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA location.

Responsibilities include assisting with budgets, change orders, scheduling, meeting minutes, and project documentation; developing plans and safety/quality plans; and supporting field staff and subcontractor coordination.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience preferred in the construction industry as a project engineer, assistance project manager, or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal construction experience is preferred.
• Must be familiar with industry standards and practices.
• Basic Word, Outlook, Excel, Windows skills; Microsoft Outlook familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project budgets, change orders, scheduling and submittal processing.
• Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project including meeting minutes, daily reports, and other general project documentation assistance.
• Develop thorough understanding of the project drawings and specifications.
• Review owner contract terms and conditions.
• Provide support to the field staff.
• Assist with development and maintenance of project schedule.
• Identify and resolve scope conflicts as necessary.
• Prepare materials for client, internal, and subcontractor meetings.
• Develop project plans and documentation including work plans, safety plans, quality control plans, construction submittals, schedules, base access, etc.
• Assist with subcontractor outreach and bid preparation.
