Job summary

APEX is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator in Chicago to support project execution teams with document coordination, funding, and subcontractor administration.

Role emphasizes accurate reporting, milestone tracking, and process improvement, with daily use of Excel and construction software. A BA in Real Estate, Accounting, or Business is preferred, with 3–5 years of related experience.

• Experience with AIA contracts, forms, and Pay Applications preferred.
• Knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Procore, Sage, Aura) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Maintain third-party checklists and trackers, collaborate with internal teams to streamline communication and timelines.
• Prepare invoices, proposals, and financial reports related to capital projects.
• Monitor milestones, provide status updates to stakeholders, and identify process improvements.
• Assist with special projects to enhance team efficiency and achieve company goals.
• Maintain subcontractor files, contracts, insurance certificates, and other regulatory needs.
