Job summary

Steel Nation Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for Construction to plan, execute, and finalize projects within budget and deadlines.

You will act as the central point between sales, engineering/design, suppliers, contractors, and operations to keep projects on track. Responsibilities include reviewing orders and quotes to define scope, coordinating with the pre-construction director, maintaining milestone logs, issuing orders and contracts, and managing RFQs/RFIs while supporting schedule

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project control preferred.
• Safety oriented with a quality focus; willingness to trainings/certifications.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Detail-oriented and analytical.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; CAD/design software knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and some local travel.

Responsibilities

• Review customer Purchase Order/Subcontract Agreement and quotation documents to prepare the project Scope of Work.
• Validate all Supplier and Subcontractor quotes and lead times.
• Coordinate with Director of Pre-Construction to prepare supplier and subcontractor lists.
• Maintain a Project Status log showing current status of projects with Milestones.
• Issue RFQs, POs and Subcontract Agreements as required, including revisions.
• Initiate RFI log and manage RFI process.
• Prepare work scope package and schedule for third party engineering activity.
• Interface with manufacturers/sales/customers to support Schedule and Budget.
