Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls professional to support project cost control, procurement planning, WBS setup, and monthly project controls activities across multi-year construction programs.

The ideal candidate has two years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Project Cost Control: develop budgets and manpower forecasts for multi-year construction projects.
• Monitor indirect costs by performing budget-to-actual analysis on a weekly basis; identify and eliminate root causes for variances.
• Establish an accurate cash-flow forecast to ensure the project is cash-positive; monitor monthly and adjust as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely complex multi-million cost-plus billing submission on a monthly basis.
• Project Procurement Planning: lead procurement planning effort for the project; ensure compliance and logistics.
• Work with project management to procure the job according to plan before 20% completion.
• Perform monthly analysis of actual bought versus plan and justify adjustments.
