Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience as a co-op, Project Engineer, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and inspection compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Fit to Work / OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with higher education projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, owner contracts, MSAs, and project scopes of work.
• Support subcontractor prequalification, bidding, and buyout; attend pre-bid walk-throughs and scope review meetings; review bids for completeness and compliance; prepare scopes of work for bidding and buyout.
• Maintain project drawings, specifications, directories, and information in Procore and shared drives; track submittals, shop drawings, product samples, and RFIs.
• Create and monitor procurement logs, track permits for HGC and trade subcontractors, and lead project meeting agendas and minutes.
• Build, maintain, and update project schedules in Phoenix, and drive Lean construction processes through weekly work plans, look-ahead schedules, and pull-planning meetings.
• Manage project cost controls and report financial status to management, applying Viewpoint standards for job startup and job cost setup.
• Manage project closeout from start to finish, including tracking, collecting, assembling, and delivering complete closeout documentation to clients.
