Job summary

Journey Group is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Sioux Falls office and manage the WIP reporting process across divisions. You will partner with project managers to analyze costs, monitor variances, and ensure accurate financial reporting, while handling project-related administrative tasks that support effective project management.

Responsibilities include reconciling WIP to GL, maintaining job costing accuracy, setting up new jobs in ERP, and supporting annual audits.

Responsibilities

• Compile the WIP report and reconcile it to the general ledger.
• Research discrepancies, issues, and large variances.
• Ensure the accuracy of job costing.
• Maintain accurate phase codes.
• Verify payroll is allocated to the correct place at the correct rate.
• Perform allocations to jobs.
• Provide support for the annual audit process.
• Pull supporting documentation for owner project audits.
• Set up new jobs in the ERP system.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Close out jobs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
