Job summary

East Valley Construction is seeking a Project Accountant to partner with project teams and manage project finances on ongoing infrastructure and construction projects. The role emphasizes accuracy in coding, cost reporting, and close activities.

You will contribute to cash flow monitoring, owner billings, and collaboration with project managers to ensure reliable financial reporting across active projects. A bachelor’s degree and construction accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience with project accounting, job costing, or cost reporting.
• Understanding of subcontract administration, billings, and project financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review, and process subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Ensure project costs are accurately coded, accrued, and reflected in cost reports
• Support monthly project close activities, including project P&L review and analysis
• Process cost transfers and assist project teams with cost report management
• Assist with preparation and submission of owner billings
• Monitor accounts receivable, project cash flow, and payment status
• Partner with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting on active projects
