Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Project Accountant (Construction) in Norridge, IL to manage financial aspects of construction projects, collaborating with PMs, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate reporting and contractual compliance.

You will handle monthly invoices, sub-contractor payments, contract entries, change orders, and lien waivers, while producing financial reports and maintaining project records. Excellent organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of project accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Sage 300 or Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly invoices for multiple projects.
• Manage sub-contractor payment requests and accounts payable.
• Enter contracts and adjustments into the accounting system.
• Prepare and execute change orders and waivers of liens.
• Conduct collection calls on past-due invoices.
• Generate financial reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Collaborate with project teams to set up projects in all systems.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and understand contracts and billing terms.
