Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Senior Accountant in Irvine, CA to support construction and development accounting across multiple projects. This newly created role offers direct exposure to project operations and collaboration with leadership.

The ideal candidate will manage full-cycle accounting, oversee job costing and billing processes, and ensure compliance with financing agreements and contracts. Strong communication skills and a CPA or CPA-track are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in construction or project-based accounting.
• Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting and construction financial management.
• Experience with AIA G702/G703 billing formats and construction contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple construction and development projects.
• Oversee job costing, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, project reports and reconciliations.
• Prepare construction draws and monitor funding sources with contract compliance.
• Enter and maintain contracts, change orders and project financial data in the accounting system.
• Collaborate with project managers to review monthly billings and costs.
• Perform month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Support audits and maintain internal controls.
