The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Project Accountant for our Westfield, MA project. This role supports complex construction accounting tasks within a dynamic, family-owned firm with a national footprint.

You will handle subcontract reviews, invoicing, cost reporting, and owner billings while collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate financials and timely payments. Travel to jobsites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of construction accounting experience.

Responsabilités

• Review and process subcontracts, change orders, and bonds to ensure compliance with terms.
• Collect and review subcontractor/supplier lien waivers and monthly invoices.
• Ensure proper accruals and correct cost reports and phase codes for invoices.
• Verify timely payments to subcontractors and major suppliers.
• Support Walsh monthly P&L processes and review P&L accuracy.
• Process cost transfers on project cost reports for PM staff.
• Assist in preparing monthly owner billings and analyze owner billing details.
• Monitor cash flow and coordinate with project staff on A/R and project payments.
• Travel to job sites for regular cost report reviews.
