Job summary

ARCO Companies, based in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Accounting Professional to support construction projects. The role requires 5–15 years of accounting experience, with construction-specific knowledge, subcontractor coordination, and proficiency in Viewpoint and Textura software.

You will manage billings, invoices, lien waivers, and reconciliations, while collaborating with Project Managers and vendors to ensure timely payments and accurate cost tracking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5-15 years of accounting experience preferred; Construction accounting experience considered a plus.
• Subcontractor experience preferred.
• Viewpoint software experience preferred.
• Textura and Title Company experience a plus.
• Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Able to work effectively under deadlines and high pressure.
• Ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare billings to owners in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Process overhead and job cost invoices monthly.
• Work daily with vendors and subcontractors on billing and payments issues.
• Collect, log and verify lien waivers from subs and suppliers for payouts.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly; assist cash reconciliation.
• Respond to information requests and analysis from Project Managers on job cost issues.
• Develop and maintain positive relations with Subcontractors and Project Managers.
