Job summary

Abbott Construction is seeking a qualified financial professional to support the coordination and oversight of project budgets, costs, and profitability in Seattle, WA. The role involves monthly financial reporting, subcontractor/supplier reviews, and ensuring state tax compliance aligned with project requirements.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel/Word skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • 1-3 years accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrates PC computer skills and uses word processing and spreadsheet packages, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Works individually and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
  • Cost accounting experience in construction industry is a plus.
  • Previous experience with audit firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Produces owner billings for specific projects.
  • Review subcontractor and/or supplier financial statements.
  • Track and report fixed assets acquisitions and disposals.
  • Research and file state tax requirements for various construction projects.
  • Continually improve processing activities and reports to give operations the best information possible within time constraints.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or needed.

Summary This position supports the financial management of construction projects by preparing, reviewing, and reporting budgeted versus actual cost information. The role is responsible for monthly financial reporting, subcontractor and supplier financial and compliance review, and maintaining state tax compliance in alignment with project and regulatory requirements..

The full salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.

Note:

Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours. At the end of each calendar year, you will be allowed to carry over accrued and unused sick leave up to 240 hours. You will not begin accruing sick leave until you drop below the accrual cap.
