Job summary

McLain Site Solutions is seeking a Construction Accountant in Jacksonville, FL to manage project budgets, billing, and cost tracking across multiple heavy civil construction projects.

The role collaborates with Project Managers, Superintendents, vendors, and leadership to ensure accurate financial operations and GAAP compliance. Candidates should have 2–5 years in construction accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–5 years in Accounts Payable/Receivable or Project Accounting.
• Construction accounting experience required; heavy civil/site development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, job costs, and cost tracking.
• Process AP/AR, vendor invoices, POs, and expense reports.
• Prepare weekly/monthly pay runs and ensure timely payments.
• Handle subcontractor compliance: lien waivers, certificates, W-9s, and contracts.
• Prepare journal entries and assist month-end close.
