Job summary

Kforce Inc is seeking a Project Accountant for a Long Island, NY area construction management client. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and accurate contract invoicing using Sage/Timberline and QuickBooks.

You will prepare variances and timely financial statements for project reporting. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting within construction, solid Excel skills, and strong communication and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in accounting and 3+ years in staff or public accounting with construction exposure.
• Experience with AIA billing and construction contracts is essential.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage/Timberline, QuickBooks) is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgets, forecasts and variance reports.
• Prepare/review invoices for contracts, including AIA and % complete.
• Process and code change orders and POs; ensure billing aligns with contracts.
