Job summary

Clean Scapes seeks a Project Accountant for our commercial landscaping division. You will support construction accounting tasks, focusing on job costing, monthly billing, and cost allocations across multiple projects.

You will collaborate with project managers and accounting staff, manage subcontractor paperwork, and help prepare weeklies, month-end close, and close-out documents. Experience with NetSuite and Excel is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of construction or project accounting experience.
• Experience with job costing, monthly billing, collections, change orders, POs, invoices, and closeout.
• Familiarity with AIA billing, subcontractor documentation, insurance certificates, lien notifications, and cost allocations.
• Experience supporting month-end close activities and journal entries.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential support for job management and accounting tasks.
• Prepare monthly billing and perform collections.
• Manage AIA documentation.
• Enter change orders accurately for tracking and billing.
• Set up and maintain subcontractor agreements.
• Prepare close-out documents.
• Collect and maintain insurance certificates.
• Assist with lien notifications.
• Create weekly job cost reports.
• Attend weekly department team meetings.
• Support month-end processes including journal entries and cost allocations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage POs, receipts, and invoices.
• Other duties as assigned to support the team's success.
