Job summary

Confidential seeks a Project Accountant to support our project teams by delivering job cost reports, project billings, and subcontractor payments for construction projects in Michigan. You will set up estimates and AIA contracts, review insurance certificates, prepare NOC, input billings in Timberscan, and provide monthly cost reports to the team with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires collaboration with field staff, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or five years of construction payables experience.
• Experience with Sage 300, Timberline, QuickBooks or Bluebeam/Adobe.
• Notary Public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up estimates and AIA contracts.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Review insurance certificates and bonds from subcontractors.
• Prepare and file Notices of Commencement (NOC).
• Input subcontractor billings into Timberscan.
• Examine and process credit card expenses.
• Prepare monthly billing package to the owner with documentation.
• Process subcontractor and owner change orders.
• Manage and release subcontractor payments with proper documentation.
• Provide monthly job cost reports to the project team.
• Prepare project closeout reports and documentation.
• Update insurance certificates from subcontractors.
• Acquire bonds for projects when required.
• Get COI to owners from FRS – additional insured.
• Maintain Notice of Furnishing.
