Job summary

Consigli Construction Co. is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial management of construction projects within the Finance division.

You will assist with accounts payable, subcontractor costing, owner billings, and cost reporting under the direction of the Project Accounting Manager. You will collaborate with project teams and the Finance department to ensure accurate tracking, timely reporting, and compliance with federal funding requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project accounting.
• Experience administering accounting and compliance requirements for federally funded construction projects.
• Experience with FAR Part 31 cost principles, indirect cost allocations, and allowable/unallowable cost determinations.
• Experience with cost-reimbursable contracts, time and material contracts and federally funded grant projects.

Responsibilities

• Process and track accounts payable invoices for timely payments.
• Set up and maintain project budgets in the accounting system.
• Manage owner billing in accordance with contract terms.
• Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting and closings.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and federal standards.
• Maintain project-related financial documentation.
• Conduct cost and revenue analyses to monitor project health.
• Support audit preparation and compliance requirements.
• Monitor budget, cash flow, and project performance.
