Job summary

The Superior Group in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Project Accountant to manage and support the financial and billing functions for active construction projects. You will collaborate with Project Operations and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate billing and robust cost tracking on site.

You will provide on-site support at jobsite(s) and help drive accuracy in project costs, supporting audits and cross-functional partners while contributing to disciplined financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in billing and/or project accounting or finance.
• Familiar with accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Construction industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform billing functions for construction project(s).
• Maintain a timely and organized invoicing process and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Operations and external stakeholders to keep monthly billing on time and accurate.
• Work with the Project Team and Accounting/Finance to resolve discrepancies and questions.
• Continuously analyze project costs to ensure effectiveness and accuracy.
• Deliver high level of customer service to cross functional partners.
• Support customer audits.
