Job summary

Horwitz is seeking a Project Accountant to support financial and administrative functions for construction projects from start to closeout. You will handle billing through various portals, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and field staff.

This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory adherence, and timely revenue recognition. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project accounting or construction finance, solid Excel skills, and familiarity with AIA billing

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project accounting, billing, or construction finance.
• Strong knowledge of AIA billing, job costing, and compliance tracking in a construction setting.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and change order processes.
• ERP or construction accounting software experience (COINS, Vista, Spectrum) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Billing & Revenue Management:Prepare and process customer billings, including AIA applications, progress billings, and monthly pay applications.
• Submit invoices and supporting documentation through customer portals and third-party platforms.
• Review unbilled reports and coordinate with Project Managers for timely billing and revenue recognition.
• Assist with collections activities and follow‑up on receivables.
• Support customer ACH setup and related billing requirements.
