Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, is seeking an Accounting Specialist in San Diego to support day-to-day accounting, project setup, accounts payable, and close activities. You will work with Project Accounting, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate financial transactions and timely documentation.

Responsibilities include handling CMiC and Textura tasks, maintaining charge rates in Workday, and preparing schedules for audits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field with at least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with online integrated accounting systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Approve invoices in the Accounts Payable workflow, ensuring proper coding, accuracy, and compliant documentation.
• Perform project and accounting setup in CMiC and Textura with complete, accurate information.
• Maintain employee charge rates and job profiles in Workday HRIS.
• Handle Textura activities including contract reconciliation, weekly payments, and lien waivers as needed.
• Compile and retain preliminary lien notices, waivers, and other project-related documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices, contracts, and payments.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve accounting and project issues.
• Prepare materials for interim and year-end audits and support external auditors.
• Maintain confidential accounting records following company policies.
