Job summary

The City of Indianapolis & Marion County seeks a manager to assist the Administrator by overseeing the Construction Services section and supervising Senior Project Managers and Project Managers on locally funded transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater projects in Marion County.

The role requires a technical degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of City/State/FHWA policies, and excellent written and verbal communication, including conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification with 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of City, State, FHWA policies for construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction program management of locally funded projects, including transportation, environmental, traffic and stormwater.
• Provide staff supervision and technical assistance in plan interpretation, scheduling, and materials.
• Ensure construction activity is on schedule, within budget, and complies with contracts and statutes.
