Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp. is seeking a Procurement Manager to direct procurement activities across a district and project sites in California.

You will negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors, while coordinating with legal and senior management to ensure strategic sourcing and value optimization. The role requires 5+ years in construction procurement, strong leadership, and extensive industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a business, supply chain, construction management or engineering field.
• 5+ years of construction procurement experience.
• Strong contract negotiation and legal terminology knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database utilization; JD Edwards E1 World experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procurement activities within the district and on projects.
• Negotiates commercial terms with material vendors and subcontractors, consulting with legal and senior management.
• Manages the vendor qualification and evaluation process for materials, subcontractors, and service providers.
• Communicates and enforces procurement policies to district and project teams.
• Oversees development and review of procurement analytics, reporting and deliverables.
• Maintains records of goods ordered and received; oversees Accounts Payable reconciliation.
• Monitors execution of the purchasing buyout.
• Prepares reports and correspondence as needed.
• Facilitates RFPs and collaborates with the preconstruction team on opportunities and current projects.
