Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking a Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027 in Dallas. You will support project managers from concept to close, applying your engineering background to client needs and problem-solving on active construction sites.

You will assist with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, submittals, and cost tracking while gaining structured training and mentorship. GPA and ENG enrollment required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – Describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – Create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design pro structural engineers, architects.
• Buyout – Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review – Review subcontractor drawings with PM and design team; communicate with subs on upcoming work.
• Billing – Understand the business side of building such as managing subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and project cost status.
• Jobsite Visits – Visit jobsite with PM and work with Project Superintendent to ensure the project runs smoothly.
• Weekly Training Sessions – Training to understand the role and how the business operates.
