Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking a motivated Project Manager Intern for Summer 2027 in the Nashville area. You will support Project Managers across estimating, scheduling, buyout, shop drawing reviews, and site visits, gaining hands-on experience in the design/build process.

The role emphasizes mentorship, structured training, and exposure to real project scenarios, with travel opportunities and potential for a term-end discretionary bonus; housing/stipend may be provided for interns outside the market.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering program or related field.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Estimating — describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling — create a working timeline for subcontractors to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings — attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design pro structural engineers, architects.
• Buyout — send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals; award subcontracts.
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review — review subcontractor drawings with PM and design team; communicate with subs on upcoming work.
• Billing —工作 with PM to understand the business side of building such as managing subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, pay applications, and project cost status.
• Jobsite Visits — visit jobsite with PM and work with Superintendents to ensure project runs smoothly.
• Weekly Training Sessions — training to understand role and operations; training may be virtual, in-person, or on-site.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (currently enrolled)
