Job summary

Wolverine Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to lead commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee multi-site, fast-paced work for varied clients, with autonomy and ownership of the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience in commercial construction, strong communication, cost control, and relationship-building skills, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong estimating, bidding, buyout, and project financial management experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with retail, restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations, office, education, childcare, or similar commercial construction.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Lead estimating, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously (typically $3M-$8M).
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls.
• Facilitate project meetings and drive accountability across project teams.
• Identify and resolve challenges to maintain schedule and budget.
• Prequalify and manage subcontractors and expand trade partner relationships.
• Champion a strong safety culture and client experience.
