Job summary

W.E. O'Neil is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in San Diego, CA to lead a portfolio of fast-moving tenant improvements, renovations, office builds, and retail work. You will coordinate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors, driving projects from award to closeout in occupied environments.

The role reports to a Project Executive and requires managing multiple jobs, budgets, and schedules while ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with a general contractor
• Proven ability to manage several smaller, fast-paced projects at the same time
• Strong working knowledge of contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and cost management
• Clear, confident communicator with owners, tenants, and design teams

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from buyout through closeout
• Plan and coordinate work in occupied spaces with minimal disruption
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Review bids, level scopes, and negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders
• Lead schedules with the Superintendent and hold subs accountable
• Ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance on every project
