Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction PM/Estimator for a reputable GC in Georgia. This role focuses on leading pre-construction activities and preparing detailed estimates with a $90,000–$140,000 yearly salary.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong math and blueprint-reading skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and takeoff tools. You will manage multiple bids with clients and subs to win projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook; takeoff tools preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required.
• Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals.
• Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs.
• Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid.
• Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects.
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, bids, and coordination meetings.
• Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers.
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects is required
• Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals
• Prepare high level quantity and manpower take-offs
• Prospect and procure new opportunities for bid
• Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects
• Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, jobsite walk-throughs, bids, and coordination meetings
• Must maintain an extremely professional working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and peers

Requirements

• Desire and determination to succeed
• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and years of experience
• The ability to proficiently provide estimates & estimating services
• Experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting
• Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff preferred
• Knowledge of construction processes and terminology
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Excellent math skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Ability to fully understand plans and specifications
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator
