Job summary

Rushmore Construction Group in New Jersey seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to own custom residential projects from pre-construction through final handover, working both in the office and in the field with homeowners, designers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and our site team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably involving custom homes, luxury residential construction, major renovations, or similarly detailed construction projects.
• Experience independently managing construction projects from planning through completion.
• Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, materials, trades, and building practices.
• Experience managing project budgets, purchase orders, change orders, allowances, schedules, subcontractors, and procurement.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to recognize, price, communicate, and manage legitimate change-order opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners and designers, providing clear and proactive communication regarding schedules, budgets, selections, change orders, project milestones, and outstanding decisions.
• Take ownership of multiple custom residential construction projects from pre-construction through punch list and final handover.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, interior designers, consultants, inspectors, township officials, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop, manage, and continuously update project schedules using Buildertrend.
• Plan construction sequencing and coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and major material deliveries.
