Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Co-op to join our team for a 6- to 8-month full-time assignment. You will assist with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, and buyouts while gaining exposure to real projects.

Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher is required, and prior internship or co-op experience is preferred. A strong work ethic and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating projects and assigning dollar values
• Scheduling timelines for subcontractors to complete work on time
• Attend design meetings with owner and team
• Send bid instructions and evaluate proposals for subcontract awards
• Fill out permit forms and coordinate approvals
• Review shop drawings and submittals with PM and communicate material orders
• Process subcontracts, change orders, pay requests and pay applications
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure smooth progress
