Job summary

EXP is seeking a detail-oriented Permitting Coordinator to manage permit applications and liaise with FDOT and other regulatory agencies. You will prepare, submit, track permits, monitor status, and ensure documentation is complete for construction kick-off.

The role requires a high school diploma with 4 years of FDOT permit experience, a valid driver's license, and strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus 4 years of FDOT permit related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Advanced MOT/TTC

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and regulatory agencies to resolve permitting issues and requirements.
  • Monitor permit status, approvals, expirations, inspections, and required renewals.
  • Review plans and documentation for completeness and compliance with agency requirements.
  • Maintain accurate permit logs, records, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and communicate inspection requirements and results to project teams.
  • Identify potential permitting delays and proactively communicate impacts to project schedules.
  • Assist project managers with permitting schedules, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
  • Coordinate responses to agency comments, revisions, and requests for additional information.
  • Ensure all required permits are obtained before construction activities begin and remain in compliance throughout the project.
