Job summary

EXP is seeking an experienced professional to handle permitting for our projects in Florida. You will prepare, submit and track permit applications, coordinate with agencies, and ensure compliance through milestones, inspections and renewals.

You will collaborate with project teams to resolve issues, monitor status, manage logs, and communicate proactively about potential delays to schedules. A valid driver's license and FDOT experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Permit related experience.
  • High school diploma plus 4 years of FDOT permit related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Advanced MOT/TTC.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and regulatory agencies to resolve permitting issues and requirements.
  • Monitor permit status, approvals, expirations, inspections, and required renewals.
  • Review plans and documentation for completeness and compliance with agency requirements.
  • Maintain accurate permit logs, records, correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate inspections and communicate inspection requirements and results to project teams.
  • Identify potential permitting delays and proactively communicate impacts to project schedules.
  • Assist project managers with permitting schedules, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
  • Coordinate responses to agency comments, revisions, and requests for additional information.
  • Ensure all required permits are obtained before construction activities begin and remain in compliance throughout the project.
