Job summary

Plote Construction Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple companies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role handles union and non-union staff and requires strong leadership and confidentiality.

You will prepare regulatory reports, support year-end activities (W-2s, audits), and drive process improvements with HR, Finance, and Operations. Prior experience in a construction setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 7+ years of payroll experience.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience in a high-volume union environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Handling confidential information with discretion.
• Job costing.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple companies with union and non-union staff.
• Prepare and analyze payroll-related regulatory reports.
• Support year-end processes, including W-2s and audits.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data.
• Oversee payroll adjustments, garnishments, and special pay scenarios.
• Collaborate with finance, HR, and Operations to ensure accuracy in payroll data.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
