Job summary

Redpath and Company is seeking an Outsourced Controller in Saint Paul, MN, to support construction clients with financial reporting, WIP, and cost controls. This full-time, hybrid role offers hands-on responsibilities and direct collaboration with client owners and project managers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of construction accounting experience, and CPA/CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years accounting experience with construction exposure.
• Knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and construction financial controls.
• Experience partnering with client-facing operations and project teams in a fast-paced, consulting environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction accounting and financial reporting, including WIP schedules and job cost accounting.
• Manage client project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Monitor variances and partner with project managers to address risks and improve profitability.
• Support leadership with financial analysis, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting.
• Ensure financial records are accurate, compliant, and confidential.
• Complete monthly close and produce financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls and procedures to support scalability and risk management.
