Job summary

Headwaters Construction Company is seeking a motivated Operations Intern to join our Operations team. This internship provides hands-on experience in commercial construction by supporting both field and office teams.

Interns will gain exposure to job-site operations, project coordination, documentation, scheduling, safety, and construction management while developing practical skills throughout the lifecycle of a commercial construction project.

Qualifications

• This internship targets students or recent grads in Construction Management or related fields.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Experience with Procore or construction software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily job-site organization, cleanup, material handling, and site logistics.
• Support Superintendents and Foremen with general field tasks and project needs.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing materials and equipment.
• Follow all job-site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project logs.
• Support the tracking and processing of submittals, shop drawings, procurement, and other project documentation.
• Assist with distributing project information to subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
• Support project scheduling, coordination activities, and meeting preparation.
• Assist with meeting documentation, meeting minutes, and follow-up on action items.
• Provide administrative and project coordination support to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents.
• Help maintain accurate project records and assist with project closeout documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to construction planning, coordination, and project management processes.
• Observe and learn construction sequencing, trade coordination, and job-site execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
