Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a motivated Construction Intern to gain hands-on experience across construction operations, project management, field activities, and day-to-day processes that support successful projects.

The intern will learn from project teams, work with managers and estimators, and gain exposure to reviewing documents, schedules, and reports while following safety policies and contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree, certificate, or coursework related to Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Safety, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interest in the construction industry.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in both office and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
• Support project managers, superintendents, estimators, and other team members as needed.
• Assist with reviewing project documents, drawings, schedules, and reports.
• Help maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to construction processes.
• Assist with tracking materials, equipment, schedules, and other project needs.
• Support field and office personnel with various tasks and projects.
• Learn and utilize construction‑related software and technology.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
