Job summary

Garver in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Construction Observer Intern who is pursuing a degree in construction management, construction engineering, or civil engineering to join our Field Services Team this summer.

The intern will record progress, review plans, coordinate with superintendents and officials, prepare daily on-site reports, and contribute to progressive pay estimates while gaining hands-on experience in a real-project environment.

Qualifications

• Must be actively pursuing a construction management, construction engineering, or civil engineering degree.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with testing technicians to ensure all required field tests are performed.
• Ensuring the quality of contractor's work and reviewing any discrepancies with the resident engineer and/or project manager.
• Preparing daily reports of all construction activities, weather conditions, personnel, material, and equipment on site.
• Measuring, calculating, and reporting quantities of work performed to produce progressive pay estimates.

Garver is seekinga construction management, construction engineering,or civil engineering student to join us this summer as aConstruction Observer Intern.

This intern will assist Garver’s Field Services Team with project observation and documentation by recording progress, reviewing and interpreting project plans and specifications, and coordinating with construction superintendents and government officials.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting.
