Job summary

Garver’s Buildings Team in North Little Rock is seeking an Architecture Intern. Join a team of licensed professionals to contribute to design, construction, and project management of public and private facilities.

You will help develop floor plans, elevations, and renderings, collaborating with engineers and staff to produce coordinated project documents while gaining exposure to sustainable design and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Must be an architecture student with 1–2 years remaining in an NAAB-accredited program before Spring internship.
• Strong desire to pursue a career in architecture.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team in developing documents: floor plans, elevations, components, renderings.
• Collaborate with engineers and specification staff on project details.
• Support project management and construction documentation efforts.
• Work under mentors to grow technical and professional skills.

Garver's Buildings Team is seeking a motivated architecture student to join our team in North Little Rock as an Architectural Intern.

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced and licensed architectural professionals in the design, construction, and project management of facilities in both the public and private building sectors.
• Work alongside design team staff to help develop various project documents including floor plans, elevations, technical building components, presentation drawings and 3-dimensional renderings.
• Gain experience in collaborating with building related engineers and specification development staff.
• Gain exposure to sustainable design and construction practices including required design and construction documentation.
• Gain exposure to project construction administration such as project progress meetings, Requests for Information, and project observation and documentation.

Requirements

Work Environment

This is an in‑office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work‑related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
