Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves sampling, testing, and observation of soils, concrete, and related materials on construction projects across the United States and international sites.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be willing to travel extensively. NICET/ACI certification and Radiation Safety training are a plus. Local candidates preferred; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in earthwork and concrete construction and CMT laboratory testing is preferred.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull equipment up to 50 lbs and have a safe driving record.
• Willing to travel across the U.S. and internationally; weekends/overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling, testing, and observation/inspection of soils, concrete, and other materials on construction projects.
• Spend 80–90% of time at field locations and travel to various project sites.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN

Full time position performing sampling/testing and observation/inspection of soils, concrete, and other materials on construction projects throughout the United States and international service areas. Typical duties require 80 to 90 percent of time be spent performing tasks at field locations. This position will require extensive travel from various projects throughout the United States and other international sites.

Qualifications:

Earthwork and concrete construction and CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing preferred but not required. NICET Certification, ACI Certification and Radiation Safety - Nuclear Density Gauge training a plus. Requirements include: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; a safe driving record; willing to work weekends and overtime as required; willing to work on out of town assignments as required; authorization to work in the United States; and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Also, must have a good attitude, attention to detail, and able to get along well with others. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
