Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform sampling, testing, and inspection of soils, concrete, and related materials on various projects nationwide.

The role involves 80–90% field work with extensive travel to U.S. sites and international service areas; candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, pass safety and certification requirements, and work weekends/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Earthwork and concrete construction and CMT testing experience preferred.
• NICET and ACI certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. and internationally; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTICING TECHNICIAN

Full time position performing sampling/testing and observation/inspection of soils, concrete, and other materials on construction projects throughout the United States and international service areas. Typical duties require 80 to 90 percent of time be spent performing tasks at field locations. This position will require extensive travel from various projects throughout the United States and other international sites.

Qualifications

Earthwork and concrete construction and CMT laboratory soil, aggregate and concrete testing preferred but not required. NICET Certification, ACI Certification and Radiation Safety - Nuclear Density Gauge training a plus. Requirements include: Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; a safe driving record; willing to work weekends and overtime as required; willing to work on out of town assignments as required; authorization to work in the United States; and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Also, must have a good attitude, attention to detail, and able to get along well with others. Local candidates preferred; no relocation.
