Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking an CMT Intern Level 3 to support field and laboratory testing activities in Richmond, VA. You will contribute to project execution with increasing independence on complex projects and assist with documentation, scheduling, and coordination.

The role emphasizes developing technical competency, customer service, and ECS core values while supporting project teams and training Field Technicians.

Qualifications

• 90 days of related experience; current graduate student in Civil Engineering or two ECS internships
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• One certification must be completed within 90 days; basic certifications within 270 days (Radiation Safety, Soils I, Concrete I)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Responsibilities

• Performs field and laboratory testing for soils, concrete, asphalt, and related materials
• Assists in selecting testing methods under guidance
• Documents data and prepares reports
• Attends project meetings and supports issue resolution
• Assists with proposals, scopes of work, and technical docs
• Supports scheduling of field activities and testing
• Assists with training and oversight of field technicians
• Supports project budgeting, tracking, and invoicing
