ECS Group of Companies invites applications for the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Intern Level I position in Tempe, AZ. The role supports field and laboratory testing, data collection, documentation, and testing activities under supervision while gaining foundational skills in civil engineering and construction materials practices.

The intern will observe testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and related materials, assist with equipment organization, and participate in project meetings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Certification will be completed within defined introductory periods.
• Must have a valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field and laboratory testing activities.
• Observe testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Document site conditions and test results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize field and lab equipment.
• Perform basic data entry, calculations, and data reduction.
