Job summary

The ECS Group of Companies offers an internship opportunity as a CMT Intern Level I. You will observe and begin routine field and laboratory testing tasks under supervision, building foundational skills in soils, concrete, asphalt, and related materials.

The role emphasizes safety, data collection, documentation, and collaboration with the project team to support materials testing projects. You will progress through certifications within set timelines while gaining practical experience in field

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Must be able to obtain required certifications within given timelines.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in outdoor field conditions.
• Ability to lift at least 85 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field and laboratory testing activities in the field and lab.
• Document site conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize field/lab equipment.
• Perform basic data entry, calculations, and data reduction.
• Communicate with field staff, contractors, and project team.
• Attend project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Support laboratory testing including sample prep, curing, and testing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
