Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level I in Fayetteville, NC. The role supports field and laboratory testing tasks, assists with data collection, documentation, and testing activities under supervision, while gaining exposure to soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.

You will develop technical skills, maintain strong safety and customer service standards, and align with ECS core values while observing project workflows and procedures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering-related degree at an accredited program.
• Certifications must be completed within specified introductory periods.
• Must maintain safety and quality while supporting field and lab activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist field and lab testing in soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Document site conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Prepare and organize equipment for field and lab work.
• Perform basic data entry and calculations, and support project documentation.
• Communicate with field staff, contractors, and project team members.
• Support laboratory testing activities including sample prep and curing.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and report equipment issues.
• Attend project meetings as requested.
