Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an CMT Intern Level I to observe and begin performing routine field and laboratory testing tasks in support of construction materials testing projects.

You will assist with data collection, documentation, and testing activities under the direction of more experienced staff while gaining familiarity with construction practices, materials testing methods, and project workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Certifications must be completed within specified timeframes (90-day introductory period; 270 days for basic certifications).
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Document site conditions and testing results in field reports.
• Support equipment preparation and organization.
• Enter data, perform basic calculations and data reduction.
• Communicate with field staff, contractors, and project team members.
• Attend project meetings and follow supervisor directions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Protect equipment and report damages or missing items.
