Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Project Manager for Operations to assist the Quality Control Manager by reviewing project specifications and ensuring critical projects are planned and executed. This professional will inspect raw materials to ensure project specifications are met.

Responsibilities include coordinating with field teams, managing schedules, preparing testing reports, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of ready-mix experience, preferably in a construction materials environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current valid driver’s license and insurable under CalPortland vehicle insurance.
• FMCSA-related pre-employment physical and background checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Managing an assigned geographical sales area for Central Concrete Supply.
• Review project specifications and manage mix submittals / revisions.
• Coordinate and attend pre-construction meetings.
• Provide job-site service and first-line technical support including quality control, safety, and environmental oversight.
• Training and ongoing guidance of field technicians.
• Coordinate work with other regional management personnel to serve the customer.
• Manage key project elements including correspondence, schedules, specifications, testing and statistical analyses.
• Prepare and analyze reports to determine how to optimize mix performance.
• Handle and provide solutions for project problems and complaints.
• Maintain equipment and calibrations for laboratory and field equipment.
• Obtain and maintain all necessary ACI certifications.
