Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Intern Level I to observe and perform routine field and laboratory testing tasks in support of testing projects. You will assist with data collection, documentation, and testing activities under supervision, while gaining familiarity with construction practices and workflows.

You will develop foundational technical skills, maintain a customer-service attitude, and align with ECS Core Values through hands-on field and lab

Qualifications

0 years of related experience required.
Must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
One certification must be completed within 90 days; basic certs due within 270 days: Radiation Safety, Soils I, Concrete I.
Driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized work ethic.
Ability to work independently or in a team.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds repeatedly.
Willingness to work outdoors and in field conditions.

Responsibilities

Assists with construction materials observation and testing in field and lab.
Observes and participates in testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
Documents site conditions and testing results in field reports.
Assists with equipment preparation and organization for field and lab work.
Performs basic data entry, calculations, and data reduction.
