Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician/Certified Special Inspector in the Philadelphia, PA area.

You will perform field observations and sampling of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials while maintaining accurate logs and communicating progress to the Project Manager. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, physical ability to lift 60–80 pounds, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for field work.
• Ability to lift up to 60-80 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic math.
• Willingness to read and interpret plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Field observations at jobsites in the Philadelphia region.
• Sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Prepare daily logs of inspections and test results.
• Communicate project status with Project Manager.
