Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Frederick, MD location. The role involves field observations, sampling and testing of construction materials, and preparing daily logs with inspection results for diverse land development and construction projects.

Qualifications

• Reliable vehicle for field work and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds.
• Ability to work in outdoor climates and on uneven terrain.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Field observations at jobsites in the Frederick, MD region.
• Sampling and testing of construction materials.
• Preparing accurate daily logs outlining inspections and test results (soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, structural steel).
• Communicate project progress with PM or Operations Manager.
